YOUNG PEOPLE

We know that if we’re going to deliver healthcare that works for teenagers, then we have to have teenagers involved in the process. At WH&Y, we put young people at the centre of everything we do in the belief that your lived experiences as a teenager make you an undisputed expert in teenage health.

Right now, the focus of our youth participation program is the WH&Y Commission. Made up entirely of young people aged between 16 and 21, the WH&Y Commission meets regularly with WH&Y researchers and plays an important role in defining research, designing trials, assessing the value of projects and thinking about how our research findings can be translated into everyday healthcare.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the WH&Y Commission, get in touch with us via info@why.org.au. You don’t need any professional experience and you will get all the training you need to take part in surveys, workshops, and other activities.
