Betty Nguyen has many accomplishments to her name: qualified lawyer, foundation member of the WH&Y Commission, and WH&Y research assistant, supporting the work of the WH&Y Commission.

A long-time advocate for the rights of young people in our health system, Betty can now also lay claim to being a finalist in the Western Sydney Women awards.

The team from the Young & Resilient Research Centre at Western Sydney University nominated Betty in the Young Woman of the Year category, in honour of her contributions to Young & Resilient, and WH&Y. The category recognises young women who have demonstrated excellence in their area of expertise, and who have made a significant impact on their community,

The winners will be announced at the Awards Gala on 30 November 2022.
