Sarita Bista is a biostatistician working with Professor Rachel Skinner in the Pathways & Costs research stream of WH&Y.
Sarita has expertise in longitudinal studies and linked datasets, specialising in analysis of complex longitudinal data from randomised controlled trials, cohort studies, and large national survey studies. She has a particular research interest in adolescent behaviours, as well as mental and physical health.
Sarita is currently a PhD candidate at the School of Public Health, University of Technology, Sydney. Her PhD research investigates the long-term effects of residential treatment for adolescents with problematic drug and alcohol use, and includes studies on mortality and health service utilisation outcomes using treatment and linked epidemiological datasets.
