Hi everyone! My name is Sahibjot Kaur, and I am a year 10 student in South Australia. I am passionate about advocating for change in our community, specifically relating to women’s rights, environmentalism, health policies and the advancement of technology. In the future I hope to work in the field of politics or medical research.
I applied for the WH&Y Commission because I want to collaborate with others to raise awareness about the concerns revolving around health and wellbeing in adolescence. Since I am a teenager, I can provide my insight on the issues that directly impact people in my age group, whilst collaborating with brilliant researchers to improve the health system of Australia. I believe that education and raising awareness is a crucial step towards positive changes in our society, which is why I am beyond excited to be a WH&Y Commissioner.
