Sophia Garlick Bock

About

Sophia Garlick Bock is a PhD student at the Children’s Hospital Westmead Clinical School. She is a NHMRC PhD Scholarship recipient to study 'Comorbid mental health and drug and alcohol use among sexuality and gender diverse young people in Australia'. She will examine datasets including The Raine Study, Growing Up in Australia (LSAC) and Writing Themselves In study. Sophia’s academic background is in psychology and criminology, and has worked in youth mental health at ReachOut and University of Sydney. Joining WH&Y, she will be supervised by Prof Rachel Skinner, Dr Jennifer Marino, Cristyn Davies and A/Prof Adam Bourne from Latrobe University.
