Skye Tasker is a PhD student at the Institute for Culture and Society at Western Sydney University. After graduating from Sydney University with first class honours in 2018, she was encouraged to continue her research into young people’s health with a PhD scholarship to research Data, Ethics and Technology for Adolescent Health in Australia.
Her focus is on exploring the role of ‘expertise’ in shaping young people’s health data and how different understandings of ‘expertise’ can improve the design of digital health technologies for young people in the future.
Skye will contribute to Ethics & Engagement by working with young people to better understand their digital health practices, critically engaging with them on issues around health data, and exploring better ways to include them in the design of digital health in the future.
