Doctor Jennifer Marino

About

Dr Jennifer Marino is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne and Royal Women’s Hospital; an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne; and an Honorary Fellow at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.

An epidemiologist, Jennifer conducts both population-based and clinic-based research in women’s health, with particular emphasis on sexuality and reproductive health. Her population-based research concerns risk-taking behaviour in teenagers and young adults. Her clinical work focuses mainly on cancer survivorship.

Jennifer trained in biology and nursing in the United States. She completed her MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics at the University of California and her PhD in epidemiology at the University of Washington. Her working life in Australia began at the Lifecourse and Intergenerational Health (LIGHt) Research Group at the Robinson Institute in Adelaide, where she studied health aspects of infertility and its treatment, for parents and child.

Jennifer will be primarily involved in WH&Y Stream 2: Pathways and Costs.
