Linda Marsden is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Culture at Western Sydney University. Linda has worked in not-for-profit management roles within sport and education industries and is now researching young people’s health as part of the Ethics & Engagement research stream.
An interest in health and young people’s digital practices are at the core of Linda’s research. She is exploring if and how young people reflect on their health when viewing, taking, or commenting on selfies and more broadly how young people use social media in relation to their health.
Linda’s research utilises creative methods to engage with young people to better understand their digital health practices and explore ways educational and health policy can support their critical agency and participation in health enhancement.
