Martyna Gliniecka is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Culture at Western Sydney University. She holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Communication Design and a PhD degree in Linguistics from the University of Wroclaw, Poland.

Martyna’s current doctoral research focuses on health-related discussions by young people on the peer-led platform Reddit. Her work has a particular focus on practices of health conversations among teenagers which helps explore the discourse around health on Reddit and the peer aspect of digital health. 

This project contributes to discussions around the role of peer-led platforms in health experiences of young people and the potential of utilising online discussions in digital health policies and initiatives.
