WH&Y Commissioner

Jahin Tanvir

About

Hey there! I’m Jahin and I’m currently undertaking an accelerated Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry degree. My ambition is to turn my career towards becoming a paediatric optometrist working in a clinical environment whilst also striving towards being a global health advocate.

I joined the WH&Y Commission because I want to ensure that I can be a platform for young people’s needs to be heard at the forefront of research that pertains to their overall wellbeing. My motive is to translate these learned skills towards empowering equitable access for young people in underprivileged and rural communities around Australia.
